Quality control checker - food and beverage processing

Captain Dan's Inc. ( Richibouctou-Village, NB) is currently looking for a skilled Quality control checker - food and beverage processing. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Position status: Term or contractFull time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must advise supervisors of ingredient or product deficiencies.
• The candidate must take samples of products at various stages of processing.
• The candidate must examine ingredients or finished products to ensure conformance to company standards.
• The candidate must conduct routine tests for product specifications.
• The candidate must grade and label raw materials or finished products.
• The candidate must ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations.
• The candidate must have food safety and handling skills.

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have patience.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a food processing plant.
