Printing press operator

Paul's Paper ( Windsor, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Printing press operator. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence and required quantities.
• The candidate must fill ink fountains and control color and viscosity.
• The candidate must set up the press and operate it at slow speed to check samples.
• The candidate must monitor regular press runs for quality using a computer control console.
• The candidate must remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of the press run.
• The candidate must direct the press crew to set up, operate, and shut down the press.
• The candidate must troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
• The candidate must adjust machinery and equipment to proper settings.
• The candidate must conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain maintenance records.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in plastics manufacturing to operate machinery, produce products, and maintain quality standards.
