FOX DAIRY FARMS LTD in Quesnel, BC is seeking a self-motivated Animal care technician. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must collect samples and perform other laboratory tests.
• The candidate must handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery.
• The candidate must assist veterinarians before, during, and after surgery.
• The candidate must prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian.
• The candidate must administer treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian.
• The candidate may perform a variety of office management and clerical duties.
• The candidate must perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry.
• The candidate must provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals.
• The candidate must provide wound and bandage care.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
• The candidate must be accurate.
