Poultry farm labourer

Hybrid Turkeys in Kitchener, ON is inviting applications for the position of Poultry farm labourer. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, Overtime available, , 05:30 to 16:30 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate must set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be flexible.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
