Pork production technician

CANBOROUGH FARMS INC. in Dunnville, ON is seeking a self-motivated Pork production technician. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must diagnose livestock health issues.
• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must perform pig littering activities, including clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medications, identifying piglets, and castration.
• The candidate must perform weaning tasks.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must maintain financial and production records.
• The candidate must ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are strictly followed.
• The candidate must maintain livestock performance records.
• The candidate must maintain quality control and production records.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
