Plumber

D.M.S. Hydronic Mechanical Systems Ltd. ( Burnaby, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Plumber. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• The candidate must repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
• The candidate must cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• The candidate must join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
• The candidate must test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• The candidate must determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
