Plumber helper

sky high plumbing and heating ltd ( Delta, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Plumber helper. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night.

Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• The candidate must operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
• The candidate must perform pre-operational inspections.
• The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt accurately.
• The candidate must level earth to meet fine grade specifications.
• The candidate must pave and rake asphalt.
• The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
• The candidate must direct traffic at or near construction sites.
• The candidate must determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• The candidate must measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.
• The candidate must locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
• The candidate must cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• The candidate must join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
• The candidate must test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be accurate.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must work on a construction site.
