Plastic-film extrusion machine operator

Now hiring: Plastic-film extrusion machine operator at Invera Flexibles Inc. in Edmonton, AB. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours. This position has been approved by the LMIA.

Job Description

• The candidate must troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment.
• The candidate must weigh resins, colourants and other chemicals according to formulas.
• The candidate must monitor and inspect quality of produced materials.
• The candidate must place weighed materials into mixing machines.
• The candidate must unload mixtures into containers or conveyors for further processing.
• The candidate must change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must have the ability to multitask.
