Now hiring: Pipelayer at Artius Contracting Limited in Port Coquitlam, BC. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
• The candidate must assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work.
• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
• The candidate will be responsible for guiding crane operators to place units as per blueprints.
• The candidate must assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or trucks.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate must work on a construction site.
• The candidate must work on sewer and water main systems carrying out installation and maintenance duties.
