Pharmacy aide

Gateway assisted Living in Surrey, BC is seeking a self-motivated Pharmacy aide. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain prescription records accurately.
• The candidate must apply and adjust casts, splints, and bandages.
• The candidate must clean and maintain equipment.
• The candidate must compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products.
• The candidate must prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.
• The candidate must maintain supplies.
• The candidate must manage routine office functions including reception, telephone, and booking appointments.
• The candidate must order supplies and equipment.
• The candidate must assist health care professionals as needed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home.
