Parker's Home Care is situated in Miramichi, NB and is hiring a Personal support worker - home support to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer bedside and personal care to clients.
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must mend clothing and linens.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must shop for food and household supplies.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• The candidate must cook meals as required.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade or equivalent experience.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate must be able to work in the employer’s or client’s home, be capable of working at varied site locations, and understand that performance progression is reviewed annually.
