Personal support worker - home support

precious care ( Edmonton, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Personal support worker - home support. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time position. Work schedule: Day, Night, Weekend, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist clients in water (i.e., pool).
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must shop for food and household supplies.
• The candidate must cook meals as required.
• The candidate must accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle weights between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs).
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
