Personal support worker - home support

Puneet Chowdhry ( Calgary, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Personal support worker - home support. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must assist clients in water (i.e., pool).
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must shop for food and household supplies.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• The candidate must cook meals as required.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
