Painting supervisor - construction

Brush Boy Paint & Design is situated in Cumberland, BC and is hiring a Painting supervisor - construction to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must supervise workers and oversee projects.
• The candidate must train or arrange for training of staff.
• The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
