Painter

Elite Trade Contracting Limited in Halifax, NS is inviting applications for the position of Painter. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare, clean, and sand surfaces prior to painting.
• The candidate must repair cracks and holes in walls, floors, or surfaces.
• The candidate must erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging.
• The candidate must apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be reliable.

• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
