Painter

Bluerock Construction & Renovation Ltd in Strathmore, AB is seeking a self-motivated Painter. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare, clean, and sand surfaces prior to painting.
• The candidate must repair cracks and holes in walls, floors, or surfaces.
• The candidate must mix paint to achieve the desired color and texture.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
• The candidate must advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
• The candidate must erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging.
• The candidate must apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
