Painter

HEPHAESTUS HOMES LTD. in Cambridge, ON is inviting applications for the position of Painter. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare, clean, and sand surfaces prior to painting.
• The candidate must repair cracks and holes in walls, floors, or surfaces.
• The candidate must mix paint to achieve the desired color and texture.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
• The candidate must advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
• The candidate must apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
