Network support technician

Pulse Tech Corp. is situated in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC and is hiring a Network support technician to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Term or contractFull time position. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must coordinate access and use of computer networks.
• The candidate must install software.
• The candidate must load printers with paper and forms.
• The candidate must maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, and peripheral equipment.
• The candidate must monitor the performance of computer systems and networks.
• The candidate must evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
• The candidate must provide problem-solving services to network users.
• The candidate must implement data, software, and hardware security procedures.
• The candidate must perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records.
• The candidate must perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• The candidate must set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
• The candidate must implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance.
