Seif Millworks in Etobicoke, ON is inviting applications for the position of Millwork estimator. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must operate CADD and other computer software systems.
• The candidate must prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
• The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• The candidate must utilize quantity take-off procedures.
• The candidate must analyze tenders and recommend awards.
• The candidate must monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• The candidate must prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• The candidate must prepare project schedules.
• The candidate must plan and estimate labour and materials.
• The candidate must answer clients' inquiries and provide information.
• The candidate must create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings using computer-aided design (CAD).
• The candidate must create three-dimensional (3-D) models using computer-aided design (CAD).

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.

Work Setting

• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
• The candidate must work in a millwork shop to fabricate, assemble, and finish wooden components for construction or custom projects.
