Job Description

  • The candidate must install and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
  • The candidate must install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
  • The candidate must maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices.
  • The candidate must replace or repair electrical components as required.
  • The candidate must test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
  • The candidate must instruct apprentices.
  • The candidate must maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.
  • The candidate must maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
  • The candidate must maintain inventory of stored material.
  • The candidate must troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related devices.
  • The candidate must interpret electrical code specifications.
  • The candidate must conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain maintenance records.
  • The candidate must read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine equipment layout.
