Metal band saw operator

Fortress Fabrications Ltd. in Medicine Hat, AB is seeking a self-motivated Metal band saw operator. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Overtime required, Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate and set up machines for repetitive machining operations.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• The candidate must enter CNC codes specifying speed, feed and tool paths.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
