Medical laboratory assistant

WORLD PHARMACY in Thornhill, ON is seeking a self-motivated Medical laboratory assistant. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must examine the results of tests.
• The candidate must set up medical laboratory equipment.
• The candidate must clean and maintain medical laboratory equipment.
• The candidate must conduct quality control assessments of testing techniques.
• The candidate must analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have the ability to work independently.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a research institute, laboratory, or centre to conduct experiments, analyze data, and support scientific research and development projects.
• The candidate must work in testing services to conduct evaluations, perform quality checks, and ensure products, materials, or systems meet established standards and specifications.
