Mechanical maintenance engineer

PSC Engineering and Inspection Services in Coquitlam, BC is inviting applications for the position of Mechanical maintenance engineer. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
• The candidate must design power plants, machines and equipment.
• The candidate must supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems.
• The candidate must develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs.
• The candidate must investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems.
• The candidate must plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
• The candidate must supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
• The candidate must assess business opportunities and develop strategies.
• The candidate must develop risk management plans.
• The candidate must lead and instruct groups.
• The candidate must conduct feasibility, design, operational and performance research on electrical generation and distribution networks.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
