Groupe J.F. Nadeau Inc. is situated in Sainte-Mélanie, QC and is hiring a Mechanic, truck to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
• The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
• The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be punctual.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in dirty environments.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must be able to work in a garage.

• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
