Mechanic helper

JMD Truck Trailer & Reefer Repair Ltd. in Oakbank, MB is inviting applications for the position of Mechanic helper. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Weekend, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must move tools, equipment, and other materials.
• The candidate must hold stakes during surveying activities.
• The candidate must signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
• The candidate must help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be able to handle a large workload.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
