Job Description

  • The candidate must instruct apprentices.
  • The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
  • The candidate must diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
  • The candidate must order parts and maintain inventory.
  • The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
  • The candidate must have welding experience.
  • The candidate must test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • The candidate must attach components and adjust new farm equipment.
  • The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
  • The candidate must perform repair work on heavy trucks.
  • The candidate must service attachments and working tools.
  • The candidate must verify and repair emission control systems.
  • The candidate must assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing.
  • The candidate must perform other routine maintenance.

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
