Reddy’s Your Independent Grocer in Hearst, ON is inviting applications for the position of Meat cutter - retail or wholesale. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Early morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting.
• The candidate must cut carcasses, sides, and quarters of meat.
• The candidate must prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by customers.
• The candidate must cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
• The candidate must wrap and package prepared meats.
• The candidate must weigh meats for sale.
• The candidate must cut poultry into parts.
• The candidate must price meat products.
• The candidate must cut fish into steaks and fillets.
• The candidate must grind meats.
• The candidate must train meat cutters.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.
• The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a supermarket, including the meat department, to handle food preparation, ensure product quality, assist customers, and maintain safe and organized work areas.
