Kawther meat is situated in Halifax, NS and is hiring a Meat cutter - retail or wholesale to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting.
• The candidate must weigh meats for sale.
• The candidate must price meat products.
• The candidate must grind meats.
• The candidate must train meat cutters.
• The candidate must slice cooked meats.
• The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a butcher shop to process, prepare, and handle meat products while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
• The candidate must work in a supermarket, including the meat department, to handle food preparation, ensure product quality, assist customers, and maintain safe and organized work areas.
