Head baker

British Pride Bakery Halifax is situated in Halifax, NS and is hiring a Head baker to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare doughs, batters, icings, and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must bake mixed dough and batters.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
• The candidate must draw up production schedules.
• The candidate must train staff to ensure proficiency in their roles.
• The candidate must ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
• The candidate must operate machinery.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must manage kitchen operations.
• The candidate must have food safety and handling skills.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must be able to work in a bake shop.
