Meat cutter - retail or wholesale

FAMILY FOODS is situated in Calgary, AB and is hiring a Meat cutter - retail or wholesale to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment - Part time position. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting.
• The candidate must prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by customers.
• The candidate must cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
• The candidate must wrap and package prepared meats.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.
• The candidate must weigh meats for sale.
• The candidate must cut poultry into parts.
• The candidate must price meat products.
• The candidate must sell meats to customers.
• The candidate must grind meats.
• The candidate must slice cooked meats.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.
• The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
• The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.

• The candidate must work in a butcher shop to process, prepare, and handle meat products while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
• The candidate must work in a supermarket, including the meat department, to handle food preparation, ensure product quality, assist customers, and maintain safe and organized work areas.
• The candidate should work in a supermarket/grocery store self-service shop offering a wide variety of food, beverages, and household products, organized into sections.
