Material handler

ADVANCE PALLET & CRATE LTD ( Surrey, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Material handler. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must build pallets.
• The candidate must load, unload, and move products and materials manually or using basic material handling equipment.
• The candidate must ship orders.
• The candidate must pick orders and stock items.
• The candidate must weigh materials and goods.
• The candidate must pack and unpack goods.
• The candidate must sort, crate, and stack goods.
• The candidate must transport and distribute materials and goods.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
