Job Description

• The candidate must develop policies.
• The candidate must supervise professional and support staff and students.
• The candidate must administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.
• The candidate must plan development projects.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.
• The candidate must respond to enquiries from members of the business community concerning development opportunities.
• The candidate must provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval of development proposals.
• The candidate must conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale and retail consumers.
• The candidate must develop social and economic profiles of an area to encourage industrial and commercial investment.
• The candidate must conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products.
• The candidate must prepare reports, research papers, educational texts, or articles.
• The candidate must advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies.
• The candidate must answer written and oral inquiries.
• The candidate must assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters, and other materials.
• The candidate must coordinate special publicity events and promotions.
• The candidate must conduct public opinion and attitude surveys.
• The candidate must gather, research, and prepare communications material.
• The candidate must initiate and maintain contact with the media.
• The candidate must prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity, and information programs, materials, and sessions.
• The candidate must prepare sports, literary, performance, or other contracts.
• The candidate must conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional, or international areas to assess potential and future trends.
• The candidate must design market research questionnaires.
• The candidate must design, conduct, and analyze quantitative and qualitative research projects.
• The candidate must develop marketing strategies.
• The candidate must develop and implement business plans.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
