Maintenance worker, building

Community Living Greater Sudbury ( Sudbury, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance worker, building. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Day, Weekend, On call, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and refuse.
• The candidate must empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• The candidate must wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
• The candidate must make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
• The candidate must contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
• The candidate must perform minor repairs on appliances.
• The candidate must perform safety and security checks.
• The candidate must move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
