Machinist

Professional Valve Service ( Sarnia, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Machinist. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day, On call shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must repair machine tools and parts.
• The candidate must fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
• The candidate must maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in the general manufacturing sector, creating new products from raw materials or assembling various components using physical, chemical, or mechanical methods.
