Machinist

Technosub ( Rouyn-Noranda, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Machinist. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift, Overtime available, , 06:00 to 18:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in the general manufacturing sector, creating new products from raw materials or assembling various components using physical, chemical, or mechanical methods.
