Machinist

Maritime Hydraulic is situated in Moncton, NB and is hiring a Machinist to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves To be determined shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts.
• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must repair machine tools and parts.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.
