Lubrication technician - automotive service and repair

Carson Automotive Group in Victoria, BC is seeking a self-motivated Lubrication technician - automotive service and repair. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids.
• The candidate must assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed.
• The candidate must change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
• The candidate must grease booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment.
• The candidate must install replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers or radiators.
• The candidate must provide on-site services.
• The candidate must repair and balance tires.
• The candidate must replace oil, air, and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
