Lubrication technician - automotive service and repair

Coast Mountain GM ( Smithers, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Lubrication technician - automotive service and repair. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, , 08:00 to 17:00 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids.
• The candidate must assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed.
• The candidate must change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
• The candidate must provide on-site services.
• The candidate must repair and balance tires.
• The candidate must replace oil, air, and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
