Fleet supervisor

Safex Transport is situated in Wildcat, AB and is hiring a Fleet supervisor to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve work methods.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must supervise workers and oversee projects.
• The candidate must train or arrange for training of staff.
• The candidate must dispatch bus drivers and monitor routes.
• The candidate must monitor and operate signal and track switch control panels.
• The candidate must coordinate and schedule activities effectively.
• The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions.
• The candidate must co-ordinate repairs and rentals.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a trucking company to manage transportation logistics, operate vehicles safely, and ensure timely deliveries.

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
