Long haul truck driver

Whiteriver Logistics inc ( Winnipeg, MB) is currently looking for a skilled Long haul truck driver. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.

• The candidate must have a valid passport.

• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
• The candidate must be able to pass a drug test.
• The candidate must be able to complete a medical exam.

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.

• The candidate must be willing to travel for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to travel internationally.
