Livestock labourer

Elk Ridge Dairy Ltd. in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a self-motivated Livestock labourer. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must milk cows.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.

• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.

• The candidate must be willing to walk for long periods of time.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
