Forklift operator

ORCA SPECIALTY FOODS LTD. in Surrey, BC is seeking a self-motivated Forklift operator. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must build pallets.
• The candidate must load, unload, and move products and materials manually or using basic material handling equipment.
• The candidate must operate various equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
• The candidate must ship orders.
• The candidate must pick orders and stock items.
• The candidate must make labels and attach them to goods.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must pack and unpack goods.
• The candidate must sort, crate, and stack goods.
• The candidate must install, lash, and secure goods.
• The candidate must store cargo and materials.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems.

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
