Job Description

The candidate must inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment.
The candidate must install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment.
The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.
The candidate must repair cable signals.
The candidate must test equipment to locate transmission faults.
The candidate must complete and maintain test and service reports.
The candidate must determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
The candidate must climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
The candidate must maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems.
The candidate must repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
The candidate must splice, join, and connect wires.
