Licensed practical nurse (L.P.N.)

Williams Lake Seniors Village ( Williams Lake, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Licensed practical nurse (L.P.N.). We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must ensure infection control.
• The candidate must observe and record medication’s therapeutic and side effects.
• The candidate must record observations of medication therapeutic effects and side effects in patient files.
• The candidate must take vital signs.
• The candidate must provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
• The candidate must provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
• The candidate must monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home.
