Job Description
- The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
- The candidate must ensure infection control.
- The candidate must observe and record medicationโs therapeutic and side effects.
- The candidate must record observations of medication therapeutic effects and side effects in patient files.
- The candidate must take vital signs.
- The candidate must provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
- The candidate must provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
- The candidate must monitor patientsโ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
Work Setting
- The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home.
