ApoSys Technologies Inc. in Mississauga, ON is seeking a self-motivated Lead data scientist. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must assess and troubleshoot application software issues.
• The candidate must build predictive models using appropriate methodologies.
• The candidate must conduct business and technical studies to support system implementation or migration decisions.
• The candidate must research the availability and suitability of data sources.
• The candidate must confer with clients to identify requirements.
• The candidate must coordinate the development, installation, integration, and operation of computer-based systems.
• The candidate must be knowledgeable in Data Science.
• The candidate must design methods for collecting and processing data to address research questions.
• The candidate must develop data mapping methodologies.
• The candidate must develop queries and logic to generate analytical reports.
• The candidate must identify trends and patterns within large datasets.
• The candidate must document data access rules.
• The candidate must document technical requirements to ensure that products, processes, and solutions meet business requirements.
• The candidate must extract relevant information from unstructured data sources.
• The candidate will be responsible for highlighting key data sources and defining the methodology to be used for a specific project.
• The candidate must prepare plans to maintain software.
• The candidate must provide advice on selecting automated anomaly detection systems.
• The candidate must research data collection and administration policies.
• The candidate must synthesize technical information through data visualizations.
• The candidate must upgrade and maintain software.
• The candidate must use ensemble modelling techniques to improve predictive performance.
• The candidate must design and develop databases.
• The candidate must design, develop, and implement information systems business solutions.
• The candidate must provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, and service delivery.
• The candidate must assess physical and technical security risks to data, software, and hardware.
• The candidate must operate database management systems to analyze data.
• The candidate must develop and implement data administration policies, standards, and models.
• The candidate must develop policies, procedures, and contingency plans to minimize the impact of security breaches.
• The candidate must lead and co-ordinate teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software, and other embedded software control systems.
• The candidate must develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle.
• The candidate must research and document data requirements, data collection, administration policy, and data access rules.
• The candidate must conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products, and information systems.
• The candidate must develop policies and procedures for network access, usage, and backup and recovery of data.
• The candidate must lead and coordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards and models.
• The candidate must write scripts for stored procedures and database triggers.
• The candidate must resolve conflict situations.
• The candidate must be knowledgeable in JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).
• The candidate must perform usability testing.
• The candidate must operate automatic or other testing equipment to ensure product quality.
• The candidate must conduct tests and perform security and quality controls.
• The candidate must execute and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
