Laundry worker

Northern Health Region is situated in The Pas, MB and is hiring a Laundry worker to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Casual employment - Part time leading to full time opportunity. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals.
• The candidate must hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles.
• The candidate must assemble and bag finished articles.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be able to handle a large workload.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in hospital or health institution laundry to clean, manage, and maintain linens and garments to meet hygiene standards.
