Laundry supervisor

The Ridge Hotel & Suites in Prince Rupert, BC is seeking a self-motivated Laundry supervisor. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must arrange for maintenance and repair work.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must be the point of contact to handle emergency situations.
• The candidate must coordinate activities with other work units or departments.
• The candidate must ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.
• The candidate must monitor quality and production levels.
• The candidate must oversee cleaning of specialty and difficult items.
• The candidate must prepare and submit progress and other reports.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must supervise operation of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
• The candidate must train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• The candidate must wash or dry-clean industrial or household articles.
• The candidate must establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
