Job Description

  • The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
  • The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
  • The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • The candidate must inspect motors in operation.
  • The candidate must review work orders.
  • The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
  • The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
  • The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
  • The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
