Laundry attendant

Adriano Laundry Service in Jasper, AB is inviting applications for the position of Laundry attendant. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals.
• The candidate must operate machines to dye, spray, re-oil, and re-buff suede and leather garments.
• The candidate must hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles.
• The candidate must hand iron laundered fine linens or dry-cleaned silk garments.
• The candidate must operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers and use hand irons to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other dry-cleaned and laundered articles.
• The candidate must assemble and bag finished articles.
• The candidate must check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure establishment standards are met.
• The candidate must match invoices or tags with dry-cleaned or laundered articles.
• The candidate must record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles.
• The candidate must use hand-held steam irons to touch up finished garments and other articles.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a dry cleaning or laundry establishment.
