Landscaping supervisor

GLE Green Landscape Experts Ltd. in Langley, BC is seeking a self-motivated Landscaping supervisor. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Day, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must hire, supervise, and schedule staff.
• The candidate must organize planting of trees, gardens, and lawns.
• The candidate must plan and direct grounds maintenance.
• The candidate must plan and estimate labour and materials.
• The candidate must organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls.
• The candidate must plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work.
• The candidate must maintain accurate work records and logs.
• The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.
• The candidate must repair and maintain equipment.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
• The candidate must remove litter and garbage.
• The candidate must plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• The candidate must lay sod or seed.
• The candidate must establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
• The candidate must cut grass.
• The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
• The candidate must assist with landscape constructions.
• The candidate must apply fertilizers.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate must rake and collect refuse.
• The candidate must operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be well-organized.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
